Regional Workshop on Monitoring and Evalation of Population, Health and Nutrition Programs


Workshop objectives:

 At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Identify decisions that can be informed by M&E information;
• Formulate questions that need to be answered in order to make informed decisions;
• Understand and construct frameworks for conceptualizing the factors that infl uence the success of programs in reaching their goals and logically explaining how program activities contribute to its objectives;
• Develop realistic and targeted goals and objectives;
• Understand and be able to select good indicators appropriate to the programs;
• Understand information systems and the fl ow of data;
• Understand data quality and its role in M&E;
• Understand how to disseminate and use M&E information strategically;
• Understand how to develop and implement M&E plans;
• Gain hands-on experience in designing monitoring and evaluation plans.
